Devotion is the method of making personality excellent.

👉 God is the epitome of “ideals”. The meaning of devotion is to sit near. Sitting near means that like damp wood reaches near fire and ends its dampness and absorbs the heat of the fire into itself and keeps drying, similarly, the real meaning of “devotion” is this. By obtaining the presence of God on the stack of all greatness, the practitioner fills more and more of His qualities in himself gradually. These divine virtues make the personality noble, refined, generous, and lofty. It goes without saying that a person with a rich personality is in a way a realized soul. His value is measured thousands to millions of times more than ordinary men and animals in every field. Accordingly, honor and support also shower upon him from all around. Whoever gains this level of benefit, naturally, will also continue to receive higher and higher levels of success. If someone wishes for this pleasant reward, it can be called the miracle of “devotion”.
👉 God is impartial and just, the value of someone is judged solely based on His “authenticity” and “ultimate devotion”. He does not need praise or offerings. His status remains unaffected by taking or not taking a name. He does not need any gifts either. The desire to influence such a great power through flattery, treatments, and fulfilling appropriate-inappropriate desires is our own pettiness. No honest judge would indulge in such bias. Then, a great power like God, praise and offerings like mockeries, will destroy all the rules and boundaries of karma in exchange for all these undeserved gifts; it is an introduction to sheer foolishness.
👉 Whoever wants to perform God-worship, they should keep these facts in mind. Based on that, develop your dormant special qualities of virtues, deeds, and nature with the help of available divine inspirations, and become eligible for all those achievements and glories; the attainment of which has been mentioned from time to time by the scholars and sages in their scriptures and teachings among those who practice devotion.
