➖ Cause of Physical Suffering ➖

👉 “Physical” – The physical sufferings or pains are those that affect the body. Such sufferings occur due to the impact of diseases, injuries, accidents, poison, etc. It is essential to understand the cause of physical sufferings. Utilizing the organs wrongly in past lives due to inherent imperfections and hereditary diseases is a reason. After death, the subtle body remains. The formation of a new body occurs through this subtle body. Misusing an organ in this life makes that organ weak in the subtle body, leading to potential problems in the next life. For instance, excessive indulgence in sexual activities may weaken a specific organ in the subtle body, possibly resulting in impotence in the next life. This is not only a form of strict punishment but also a way of improvement. Resting the organ for some time allows it to recover, making it alert and subtle for the future. For the physical well-being of other organs, they become weak or mostly lost due to sinful, excessive, limitless, and wasteful activities in past lives. In order to purify the body and mind of accumulated sins, congenital diseases or physical deformities occur. The misuse of an organ results in it getting rest, and by taking rest, it becomes fresh for the next birth. Simultaneously, mental suffering eradicates the burden of mental sins.
👉 Mental sins also get eradicated through the purification of physical sins with which they are mixed. If the mental sin mixed with physical sin is not rectified by royal punishment, social punishment, or atonement in this life, it is purified through the physical processes of nature. For example, if someone has consumed poison, they may die. Disturbances in food and behavior lead to sickness. In this way, the body quickly cleanses its common faults, and the payment for this birth is made in this life. However, serious physical vices, which also involve mental attachment, go with the subtle body to the next life to receive the consequences.
